Hazel, Wilykit and anyone else who might be listening,

I have discovered an old key within the mansion. I am not sure as to the lock it opens, however it was guarded by a rather fierce monster, stronger than any other I have seen within the mansion so far. It makes me wonder if there is not something even stronger here that I have yet to come across.

I say this in case my search for the door this key unlocks takes some time or I should be attacked by something too powerful to handle alone. If there is something in this mansion I cannot take on, stay away.

I am beginning my search in the underground passage tomorrow. With luck, my search will be short and uneventful.
