Has anyone else noticed that weird sort of holiday things seem to happen around the time there would be some sort of holiday in at least one of our worlds?

I was just thinking about the holidays that are usual for this time of year at home. Whoever is in control of this place seems to enjoy them.

Does anyone think it would be possible to avoid something like those pumpkins if we celebrated whatever holiday it would be on our home worlds?
