-No wank - Keep OOC issues out of IC interactions.

-OOC knowledge is not IC knowledge. Remember, your character doesn't know everything you do.

-Time- There isn't a set game time to real time ratio. Occasionally there will be a season change and any holiday events will happen some time in the appropriate season.

-Activity- Make one post or take part in one thread per month. Not particularly strict but, if you post rarely and then disappear for a long time without notice you may be removed without a warning.

-Hiatus- If you're going to be away for more than a week please send me a message telling me so or make a post to [livejournal.com profile] pieces_ooc.

-No godmoding- Don't control another person's character or dictate what happens to them. Be fair and remember that communication is good.

Don't have a normal human somehow able to take on a superpowered being on even footing.

-Muncesting is strongly discouraged. DO NOT app two characters that are likely to interact a lot. Exception- If two characters share the same body you may play both of them.

No playing both characters of a pairing.

-Only four characters per player.

-Dying- There may be situations where a character will die. They may be brought back to life up to three times. The character may wake up wherever they have been staying a day or so later with no idea how they got there. They will be very uncomfortable and weak for several days but, they will be alive.

Try to keep things at least somewhat realistic. Try not to put your character in any situations where there is no IC probable way for them to get out of it alive unless you are O.K. with them dying.

♣ Wait, what?

Your character has been sucked into a pocket dimension along with a piece of the area they were in when they found the book.

If you really want to know why look up the Dreamcast game called Timestalkers. There are differences but, the motivations are pretty much the same.

♣ Plot?

There is a simple plot that there is no hurry to resolve.

Most of the plot will be player driven. This means not much will happen unless you make it happen.

Have character react to the setting, attempt to take over, explore, etc.

No finding the book. That happens only at the end.

♣ What kind of characters can we play?

Characters from most official canons and original characters. Please no crack muses or characters from shows aimed at very young children.

Original characters may not have previous connections to canon characters.
Original characters from Earth or an Earth like world (AKA someplace that has the technology for whatever game/movie/show that they come from) may be familiar with some of the canon characters stories though they will be unable to speak of it. There may be a way for your character to get around this. It can be different for character but, it will be something traumatizing and you must have mod approval.Note- Please limit the series your character is familiar with to Two.

Multiples? Alternate universe?

Yes to both. Up to three versions of a character will be allowed. However, one person will not be allowed to play more than one version of a character.

♣ How does time pass in game?

Two weeks real time = one week game time.

Back dating is also allowed.

♣ What kinds of places can my character bring?

A house, part of a city or town, forest, plains, mountains. Pretty much anything but, not too big a piece.

Dungeon areas are crawling with monsters. Other than that they can be any type of area.

♣ Monsters
Only show up in dungeon type places and are usually unable to leave them. What monsters show up depend on what world the place they are found comes from. So if you are in a place that came from FF12 there will be FF12 monsters there.

Some places may not have had monsters before being brought here. These places can have any type of monsters.

Monsters will occasionally drop random items along with the normal money or items they normally would.

♣ Communication?
Your character may find a device connected to a network soon after arriving. A laptop/cell phone/magic journal or whatever.

They will use that to post to [livejournal.com profile] piecesofworlds

For face-to-face interactions or any adventures, solo or as a group, post in the log community [livejournal.com profile] pieces_logs. This is not required. You can simply have your character post about these adventures in the main community if you want.

For out of character stuff such as hiatus announcements or random stuff you'd like to share there is [livejournal.com profile] pieces_ooc

♣Supplies?

If a place has a working kitchen basic foodstuffs will regenerate. Anything that could be considered a luxury item must be bought. Spices, chocolate, other candies, teas besides basic black tea, good coffee.

Characters will only have what clothes they bring. So unless their world piece has their clothes they will have to buy spare from the shop.

Mabe village shop stocks most things but, may not have the exact things most characters are used to.

♣ If you have any questions not answered, please ask them here.
